Terms of Service

Our terms and conditions

Effective July 17, 2026

Agreement

These Terms govern your use of Clippa. By using the public preview, creating an account, or saving a transcript, you agree to them. If you cannot legally agree to these Terms, do not use the service.

What Clippa provides

Clippa retrieves available captions for supported public YouTube videos, saves requested transcripts to an account, provides text and caption-file exports, and creates links to timed portions of the original video. Transcript availability and accuracy depend on the source video and third-party caption data.

Accounts

Keep account credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us through the contact page if you suspect unauthorized access.

Your content and permissions

You retain any rights you have in the URLs, transcript selections, and other material you submit. You give Clippa permission to process that material only as needed to provide and secure the service. You must have the right to use submitted material and must follow YouTube's terms and applicable copyright law.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use Clippa for unlawful or rights-infringing activity.
  • Probe, disrupt, overload, or bypass service protections.
  • Use automated requests in a way that harms Clippa or its providers.
  • Misrepresent generated text as guaranteed or authoritative.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or saved content.

Early access, limits, and price research

Clippa is currently offered without a subscription fee during early access, and no payment method is required. Each account may create up to 25 new transcripts per day and store up to 100 MB of transcript data. Clippa may ask whether you would consider a stated future price, currently $12 per month for Clippa Pro. Responding records product interest only: it does not create a subscription, collect payment details, or authorize a charge. We may change these limits or introduce paid usage later. Any actual price and applicable limit will be shown before you choose to pay.

Third-party services

Clippa relies on services including YouTube, hosting, authentication, transcript retrieval, and email delivery. Those services may be unavailable or change independently. Clippa is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Clippa reliable but do not promise uninterrupted access, support for every video, or error-free transcripts. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features to protect the service, comply with law, or improve the product.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Clippa and delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for material breach, abuse, security risk, or legal necessity. Provisions that logically need to survive termination remain in effect.

Disclaimers and liability

Clippa is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent allowed by law. We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Clippa's operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.

Applicable law may give you rights that cannot be waived, so these limits apply only to the extent permitted. Disputes are subject to the courts and law with applicable jurisdiction.

Changes and contact

We may update these Terms and will change the effective date when we do. Material changes will apply prospectively. Questions can be sent through the contact page.
